Signatures Of Us is a series of 9 timelapse recordings depicting urban Dublin.
This series is shot using a GSTiR GST612C passive thermal sensor, and a custom made camera.
The China based manufacturer, GSTiR, sells these sensors to both Ukrainian and Russian forces in the current Russian war of aggression in Ukraine.

It has been my observation in the current social media age, that the general public is becoming somewhat desensitized to images from warzones. From helmet cameras in use by your average infantryman to the drone footage uploaded and propagandized by Government Ministries, we consume more wartime footage as a society than ever before.
This project challenges the disassociation we have when viewing this footage, and the notion that “this footage does not represent my home”. In showing Dublin through the lens of a suicide drone’s camera, this footage acts as a direct response to our societal contempt in regard to the matter.
